Oh, I got a pamphlet today on performing arts, and it advertised a klezmer band. Here's the description they used to sell the tickets (with my comments in [glow=red,2,300]glow![/glow])
Oh, let's call it klezmer with a twist. [glow=red,2,300]Okay, sure. What's klezmer?[/glow]Or, as the group iteslf calls it- "alternative klezmer." Since 1998, the Alexandria Kleztet has been dazzling klezmer fans [glow=red,2,300]Okay. What is klezmer and why do people like it?[/glow] with its unusual instrumentation and innovative approach. By blending klezmer with other genres and influences,[glow=red,2,300] So they aren't even doing klezmer! And I still don't know what klezmer bloody is![/glow] the Kleztet creates unique original [glow=red,2,300]Nice to know that it's unique AND original[/glow] to go with imaginative interpretations of traditional maerial. As Sing Out! magazine recently noted: "The Alexandria Kleztet are expanding the concept of what a klezmer band can be." [glow=red,2,300]Gee, I always thought a klezmer band was a klezmer band, but it can be other things too? Swell![/glow] From songs not normally arseociated with klezmer bands (like the Jewish song Hine ma Tov) to original compositions (Klezmer Nova or Barseist on the Roof) to its strong jazz influence, the Kleztet definitely pushes the envelope of traditional klezmer. [glow=red,2,300]What the hezzy is klezmer, fools?!?![/glow] This holiday season, [glow=red,2,300]Sat., Dec. 9, 2007. Isn't this planning a bit far ahead?[/glow] create a new tradition. Make it truly special with klezmer that's just a little out of the ordinary. [glow=red,2,300]Oh, good, I wouldn't want it to be ordinary, run-of-the-mill klezmer. And for the last time, what the FitzShizz is a klezmer!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?![/glow]
For those of you who mirrored my comments, here's a link to a definition.

Note: to those of you who actually like klezmer (whatever it is) I'm not making fun of the genre, I'm making fun of the article.
